Lila Izakaya

Lila Izakaya is a hospitality project in Limassol Cyprus, developed around restaurant interior design. Lila Izakaya is a restaurant interior in Limassol, Cyprus, shaped by the contrast between raw natural materials and a rich, saturated colour palette. Burgundy tones run throughout the space, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere against textured stone walls, dark timber and polished concrete. Large arched openings introduce rhythm and depth, while timber slats filter views and light between different areas of the restaurant. Lighting plays a central role in the interior concept. Linear architectural lighting is layered with decorative elements to create a soft, atmospheric glow and emphasise the textures of stone, wood and upholstery. A large sculptural rattan installation becomes one of the defining features of the dining space, bringing an organic quality to the otherwise robust material palette. Greenery is integrated throughout the restaurant, softening the architecture and adding another natural layer to the interior. The result is a contemporary izakaya with a distinctive identity — tactile, immersive and intimate, balancing the raw character of natural materials with colour, light and crafted detail. The work combines raw stone, dark timber, polished concrete with a scope focused on interior design, restaurant concept, space planning, creating a clear atmosphere for daily use, photography and long-term spatial memory.
