La Jolie is a hospitality project in Vienna Austria, developed around cafe. The interior of La Jolie Cafe is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of a botanical salon, where classical architecture and natural elements are brought into quiet dialogue. Rather than using greenery as decoration, the project integrates cascading vegetation and suspended floral installations into the architectural composition, allowing nature to define the atmosphere of the space. A restrained palette of warm neutrals, natural timber, and textured finishes creates a calm material foundation, while soft lavender accents introduce a subtle sense of seasonal vibrancy. Traditional bentwood furniture and upholstered seating reference the heritage of European cafés, reinterpreted within a refined contemporary setting. Decorative wall moldings, circular botanical artworks, and carefully proportioned architectural details establish a sense of order and permanence, balancing the organic spontaneity of the planting. Patterned floor tiles act as a visual framework, connecting individual spaces while reinforcing the rhythm of movement throughout the interior. Natural textures, filtered light, and layered vegetation work together to soften the architectural envelope, creating an environment that feels both intimate and open. Every material and decorative element is carefully composed to celebrate craftsmanship without overwhelming the space, allowing elegance to emerge through proportion, restraint, and tactile richness. The work combines light plaster, soft textile, warm metal with a scope focused on hospitality concept, visual direction, material mood, creating a clear atmosphere for daily use, photography and long-term spatial memory.
