YUG is a hospitality project in Odessa Ukraine, developed around restaurant. The restaurant is conceived as a composition of interconnected spatial experiences, where architecture orchestrates movement, atmosphere, and social interaction rather than simply accommodating function. Organized around four distinct environments — an open kitchen with a central atrium, a fireplace lounge, a banquet hall, and a sea-view terrace — the project unfolds as a carefully choreographed sequence, with each space offering its own identity while contributing to a unified architectural narrative. The design follows the principle that form emerges from function, allowing circulation, proportion, and spatial relationships to define the character of the interior. Open floor plans and intuitive transitions create a continuous sense of flow, balancing expansive volumes with moments of intimacy through subtle zoning rather than physical separation. Custom-designed furniture, lighting, and sculptural chandeliers are conceived as integral architectural components, reinforcing the project's visual language instead of serving as independent decorative elements. Light plays a fundamental role in shaping the experience, with carefully calibrated lighting scenes emphasizing material depth, architectural rhythm, and the changing atmosphere throughout the day. A restrained palette of natural materials introduces warmth and tactile richness, allowing texture and craftsmanship to become the primary expression of the interior. Every architectural gesture is guided by precision and coherence, where bespoke details, proportion, and material honesty work together to establish a timeless spatial identity. The result is a restaurant that celebrates openness without sacrificing intimacy, demonstrating how thoughtful architecture can transform functional planning into an immersive and emotionally engaging hospitality experience. The work combines timber, stone, dark metal with a scope focused on restaurant concept, guest flow, visual direction, creating a clear atmosphere for daily use, photography and long-term spatial memory.
