Designed as a luxury Japanese restaurant, premium cocktail bar and immersive hookah lounge, the project redefines contemporary hospitality interior design through cinematic storytelling, custom architecture and unforgettable guest experiences. Inspired by a fictional future set in the year 2186, the concept imagines a world where humanity has lost its connection to tradition, ritual and emotion. Technology has survived, but culture has almost disappeared. Hidden beyond time lies Shinjitsu no Za — the Seat of Truth — where the descendants of the last Emperor preserved the values that matter most: respect, ceremony, craftsmanship, taste and human connection. This narrative became the foundation of the entire commercial interior design concept. Rather than designing a conventional restaurant, BOOM Project created a complete hospitality destination where architecture becomes storytelling. Every space is carefully choreographed to guide guests through a sequence of experiences, from fine dining and signature cocktails to premium hookah rituals and intimate lounge moments. The project combines Japanese restaurant design, cocktail bar interior design and hookah lounge interior design into one coherent architectural language. Contemporary Japanese aesthetics are reinterpreted through monumental portals, sculptural lighting, illuminated stone, custom furniture, textured materials and carefully curated decorative elements. At the heart of IMPERATOR 2186 lies the illuminated cocktail and hookah bar — the social centre of the venue. Bespoke marble counters, dramatic bottle displays, integrated lighting systems and handcrafted architectural details transform both cocktail preparation and hookah service into theatrical rituals rather than ordinary hospitality operations. Throughout the restaurant, guests move between elegant dining rooms, private lounges, immersive hookah spaces and intimate seating areas designed to encourage slow conversation, relaxation and meaningful interaction. The atmosphere is intentionally calm, allowing every visit to become an experience rather than simply a meal. The interior material palette combines architectural concrete, natural stone, smoked glass, blackened steel, warm timber, leather upholstery and custom metalwork. Layered lighting, premium finishes and bespoke furniture create a timeless luxury restaurant interior where every architectural element reinforces the project's identity. A central visual symbol of the project is the reinterpretation of Kikkamonshō, the Imperial Chrysanthemum. Historically associated with the Emperor of Japan, the emblem is transformed into a contemporary architectural motif representing memory, continuity and cultural preservation. It no longer symbolizes authority over others, but mastery of one's own experience. More than a restaurant, IMPERATOR 2186 is a destination where interior architecture, hospitality design and storytelling merge into one immersive environment. Every cocktail is part of a ritual. Every dish becomes a ceremony. Every hookah is designed as a moment of reflection and connection.
