AL FORNO

AL FORNO is a hospitality project in Kyiv Ukraine, developed around italian restaurant interior. AL FORNO is a three-level Italian restaurant in Kyiv inspired by the warmth and directness of traditional cooking. The concept centres on the oven as both a functional element and a symbol of gathering, translating the character of an Italian trattoria into a contemporary architectural language. Textured plaster, natural timber, terracotta tiles and handcrafted furniture create a tactile, time-worn atmosphere. Circular ceramic elements form a distinctive feature wall, while suspended arrangements of dried plants soften the ceiling and introduce an organic rhythm throughout the interior. Different dining zones offer varied levels of intimacy, from open communal tables to quieter seating beside the fireplace. Warm lighting, visible food displays and carefully integrated greenery reinforce the sense of hospitality, creating a restaurant that feels authentic, generous and closely connected to the rituals of shared dining. The work combines terracotta tile, natural timber, textured plaster with a scope focused on restaurant concept, interior architecture, three-level spatial planning, creating a clear atmosphere for daily use, photography and long-term spatial memory.
