GREECE SQUARE SOCIAL WELFARE PROJECT IN ODESSA

The preliminary project for the reconstruction of the Greek Square began with a study of the historical and social components of the geographical center of Odessa. Work was also carried out to study the direction and intensity of mass flows. The main image of the marketplace project was as close as possible to the architectural motifs of 19th century Odessa. This technique allowed to fit the modern building into the contextual environment. Much attention has been paid to pedestrians, the master plan includes wide and comfortable pedestrian streams. In the social sense, the project is designed to transform Greek Square from a street to a place of rest for citizens and guests of the city.
